In 2003, the owners of Trattoria i Trulli—Daniela, Salvatore, and Antonino—beloved Encinitas establishment opened in 2000 — set their sights on San Diego’s historic Little Italy to bring their passion for Italian hospitality to a new neighborhood.

With over 60 years of combined experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry—and culinary training from the “University of Mama’s Kitchen”—Buon Appetito quickly found its rhythm. The result?
